Cornelius John Van Aalst, Jr., age 74, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in Manassas, VA. He was born on February 1, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Cornelius John and Bertha Owella (Flemming) Van Aalst. Mr. Van Aalst was a member of Manasseh Lodge 182 for the past 43 years. He is survived by his son: Cornelius John Van Aalst III and his fiancée Sara Farmer of Manassas, Virginia; brother: Lawrence Van Aalst of Vancouver, Washington; sister: Beverly Settles of Lebanon, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA where a Masonic Service and an Eastern Star Service will be held. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
