DANA STERN  
On Sunday, May 22, 2011, DANA STERN of Bethesda, MD. Wife of Michael Rothberg; mother of Jacob and Evan Rothberg; daughter of Benjamin and Ethel Stern, and sister of Cynthia Stern. Dana is also survived by her aunt, Dr. Judy Ginsburg; her in-laws, Dr. Martin and Sharon Rothberg; her sister and brother-in-law, Anthony and Lisa Askowitz and her nieces Rachel, Danielle and Natalie; her first cousins Mark Copeland and Tatiana Acker, Dr. Cary and Lori Copeland, David Copeland, and their children, and many other loving relatives and friends. Dana was a cherished wife, a devoted mother, a caring daughter and sister, a loyal friend, and a trusted colleague. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Dana was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Washington University and Cum Laude graduate of Harvard Law School, and worked as the Deputy General Counsel and Senior Vice President of MCG Capital Corporation. Special thanks to Dr. Fredrick Barr and his staff for their care and devotion. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Temple Shalom at 8401 Grubb Road, Chevy Chase, Maryland. Internment to follow at Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, Clarksburg, MD. An announcement about the Shiva will be made on Tuesday during the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 202541-1001.

Growing up with Dana, I remember her as a very smart..driven and dedicated person..who always strived to be at the top..I cant tell u how bad I feel that her life was cut short... my sincere sympathies to Mike and the Boys... The Rothberg's. Ben and Ethel... u both are incredibly dedicated.. comitted wonderful parents... I know the last year has been so hard for u both... I hope that in time.. the memories of all the happy times that you shared together will bring you peace... I hope that you will depend on the strength of your friends and family to help u get through this.. And my amazing friend Cindy... you were a wonderful sister to Dana... and she should only bring u good things!!!
