DANIEL LEVINE  

10-year resident of Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD; native of Brooklyn, NY; and long-time resident of New Castle, PA; died on Friday, June 15, at Casey House in Rockville, MD. His positive outlook in living with lung cancer the last 18 months of his 91+ years was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was beloved for his warmth, humor, and ability to connect with people. He had a long career in physical therapy, and was an active community volunteer. He was preceded in death in 2008 by his bride of 62 years, Annette Levine. He is survived by daughters Beth Borko and Carol Goldberg, sons-in-law Steve Borko and Henry Goldberg, granddaughter Julie Goldberg-Zieger (Jeff Goldberg-Zieger) , and grandsons Jonathan Borko and Paul Goldberg (Meredith Herr).
A memorial celebration of his life is planned for Sunday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at the Riderwood Performance Hall, 3120 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD. Friends may make donations in his memory to support the research of Dr. Russell Hales at Johns Hopkins University. [http://www.radonc.jhmi.edu.
