DEREK OWEN ALOFS
Of Olney, MD died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, December 23, 2010. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 31 at Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church in Olney, MD. Derek is survived by his sister Heidi; sister-in-law Melanie; nephews Jason and Gerrit; step-mother Betty and lots of friends.

I have been searching for Brian, Derek and Heidi Alofs for decades after my mother told me of Brian's death. I searched the internet and just found Derek's obituary. It has been a lobg time since I last saw them when they lived on Longbranch Dr. in Falls Church, Virginia. I am sorry that I am too late. My sympathy to Heidi and the family.

Derek was a wonderful person and I really enjoyed all the times we had working together. It is sad to hear of his passing but he is no longer suffering. Derek you will really be missed by many.
