DORIS TAYLOR (Age 78)  

Of Severn, MD, wife of the late, O.C. Taylor, loving mother and doting grandmother passed away on July 14, 2012 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. She was born in Henning, Tennessee, the youngest of three children of Everline Thompson Stokley and Isreal Stokley. She attended Tennessee State University for her undergraduate studies, and later earned her Masters' degree at Bowie State University. She taught in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools for 25 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Guilford in Columbia, MD where she served in the Senior Choir. She is survived by her son, Orlando "Clay"; daughter Stephanie; daughter-in-law Ashley; granddaughter Sophia and grandson Alexander and a host of loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, July 23 at Howell Funeral Home, 10220 Guilford Road, Jessup, Maryland 20794. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 24 at 11 a.m. at the Argonne Hills Chapel Center, 7100 Rockenbach Rd., Ft. Meade, MD 20755. Graveside service will be immediately following at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032.
