EARL EILTS  

Earl A. Eilts, 83 years, died July 2, 2012. He is buried at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
Mr. Eilts was born August 25, 1928 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He served in Korea after WWII as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He attended Creighton University in Omaha and served again in Korea during the war. Earl received the expert medal in the rifle and carbine and three bronze service stars.
Mr. Eilts attended Conception Seminary in Missouri and was ordained a Priest of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph and served 12 active years. He requested and received a dispensation from Pope Paul VI in 1970.
He retired from the Federal Highway Administration in Washington, D.C. October 1988, where he managed the agency's career development programs.
Earl is noted by relatives and friends for his love and expertise in fishing especially in Missouri lakes.
Earl is survived by his wife, Barbara of 41 years.
Earl served his God, his country and his government.
May he rest in Peace.
