EDWARD DENNIS BURGE, JR. (Age 55) "Mann/Ed"
Peacefully entered into eternal rest after a lengthy illness on Friday, May 26, 2012 at his home surrounded by family. Son of the late Ann and Edward D. Burge, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth K. Cobb; children, Edward D. Burge, III, Tiffany Burge Newman, William C. Burge and step-son, Joel Tucker; his devoted first wife and friend, Cynthia "Cindy" Burge; three grandchildren, Oswego, Heaven and Christine; three brothers, Zontine Reid (Lavonia), George P. Burge and Harold Little; one sister, Verneal Reid Blackiston; in-laws, George Cobb and Rev. Sherdena Wormack; brother-in-law, Mark Cobb; a host of other relatives and friends. Ed will be remembered for his Nissan automotive skills and expertise as a master mechanic for over 35 years and his devoted (Friends of Bill) service work. Viewing, Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 7 to 9 p.m. at HORTON'S FUNERAL HOME, 600 Kennedy St., N.W., Washington, DC and Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service, 11 a.m. at The First Baptist Church Inc. of North Brentwood, 4000 Wallace Rd., Brentwood, MD.
