My sister Carol notified me and my brother John about Mrs. Campbell's death and let us enjoy the published article about her life. It was good to reflect on so interesting and talented a person. Our family was glad to have known her. Roy "Pete" Lee Orndorff, Jr.

My prayers are with the Pfhol and Campbell families. I had the pleasure of working for Mrs. Campbell at WETA. She was graceful, full of style, very intelligent, and always hard at work (something I know she loved). I am blessed to have had the honor of knowing such a lovely lady. She will be in my prayers..."Prayers are like musical notes that lift our loved ones up closer to GOD."
Sincerely,

Elizabeth Campbell was a unique individual. In the gifts she gave to our community she taught us that individuals can make the important differences. It isn't the abstract forces of history, or demographics, or economics or science that create our world. The individual has the power to do good and change and create the kind of world we live in. It was a real honor and privilege to work with her and for her on the WETA Community Advisory Council and the station Board of Trustees. I will always be indepted to her for the privilege. I shall also be indebted to her for the gift of a great TV and radio service which she has given to our community. It has become a shining example for all public broadcasting. God Bless Elizabeth and her family.

Mrs. Campbell gave us a truly great gift - her vision of equal opportunity for the education of all children in our community. She leaves as her legacy more than just a public television station. Elizabeth and Ed Campbell had the courage to stand up for what was just even when it was the unpopular thing to do. Now it is up to all of us to honor her memory by having the courage to address difficult issues that continue to plague our community, and to see that her vision for the future continues.

Mrs. Campbell has been such an inspiration to everyone involved in public broadcasting throughout this nation. The National Friends of Public Broadcasting will be forever in her debt for the leadership that she provided in creating not only NFPB, but WETA, one of the nation's premier PBS/NPR stations.
