ELY B. ADLER (Age 92)
On Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at home in Leisureworld, Silver Spring, MD, previously of Brooklyn and Woodmere, NY and Coconut Creek, FL. Beloved husband for 68 years of Lorraine Rumpler Adler; adored father of Susan (Louis) Albert, Judy (Joe) Reiff, Robert (Billie) Adler, and Marc (Patti) Adler; proud grandfather of Elisabeth, Rachel, Daniel and Jacob Albert; Michael and Jonathan Adler, and Alexandra and Sophia Adler; predeceased by brothers Meyer and Joseph and survived by loving sisters, Jacqueline (Michael) Resnick and Evelyn Levitt. Remembered by treasured nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Served in the Battle of the Bulge. Commended WWII veteran. Lifelong active member of Bnai Brith. May his memory be for a blessing. Funeral and interment held Friday, August 5 in Brooklyn, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Seder Kits for Soldiers, Bnai Brith International/Center for Community Action, 2020 K Street, NW,| 7th Floor,| Washington, DC 20006 or JSSA Hospice, 6123 Montrose Road, Rockville, MD 20852.
