ESTHER WILLIS JUBILEE (Hardman) (Age 93)  

Of Washington, DC and Orange, Virginia died on Sunday, May 13. She is a retired DC Public Schools teacher who served at Mott, Katie C. Lewis, and Davis Elementary schools for over 30 years and was active in her community. Her husband Ernest Jubilee and daughter Esther Collins predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter. She is deeply loved and respected and her steady way of dealing with life and her conversations and guidance will be missed by those who survive her Youtha Hardman-Cromwell of Washington, D.C., a stepson Jamison Jubilee of Orange, Virginia, seven grand children Grace McRae (Grady), Emmanuel Collins, Jr. (Kay), Darnell Whitten, Michael Cromwell (Sandy), Dwayne Whitten, Debra Whitten, Christopher Collins; nine great-grandchildren Leah, Nathan, and Lydia McRae, Tiffany Whitten, Caleb Collins and Tiye Brown, Moriah, Micalah, and Micah Collins; two son-in-laws: Emmanuel Collins, Sr. and Oliver Cromwell; granddaughter-in-law Tonya Moore (Bruce); foster sisters Mary Whiteman and Frances Ingram; devoted and trusted friends, Phyllis Highland and George Long, Sr.; and many cousins, friends, neighbors and students. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m. following viewing from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 21024 Piney Wood Road, Orange, Virginia, 22960. A memorial service will be held at The Residences at Thomas Circle, 1330 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20005, on Saturday, July 14 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Heifer International, PO Box 6021, Albert Lea, MN 56007, and Central Union Mission, PO Box 96763, Washington, DC 20090.
