Dear Jane,

I sympathize with the loss of your mother. Losing a parent is a hard thing to bear at any age. Although I never met her, I got to know her a bit through you. I hope you are doing well.

My grandmother was at various times in my life like my second mother: Coming to her house was always a treat. When I brought my friends, and then my fiancee, and then my wife and children, they all felt the same thing about her and her home:

Her love and her never wavering support will be very missed.
