Frances Coley Obituary
COLEY FRANCES ELIZABETH COLEY Peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at The Washington Home. She was a devoted member of the Baha''i Faith and served lovingly and tirelessly in many different capacities for over 50 years. She was known as ''Mom'' to a broad international array of the human family. She inspired those who knew her to, "never give up", as a graduate from the University of the District of Columbia Cum Laude at age 77 in Paralegal Studies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Coley and survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends too numerous to count. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 25 at St. Paul''s Rock Creek Cemetery, in the Great Hall beginning promptly at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by McGUIRE.

Frances was a remarkable woman. She offered me hospitality years ago when I was passing through as a young Baha'i on my way to a Baha'i summer school in North Carolina. Frances was gracious and welcoming. A wonderful woman and a wonderful Baha'i.

Frances Coley epitomizes unconditional love and service to humanity. So many have passed through her life, and so many call her "Mom, including me. I will miss her smile, her chuckle and her wise words, yet rejoice she is out of pain and rejoined with God in the Abha Kingdom. My love goes out to the loved one she leaves behind.
