Frances Pye Bailey, 94, beloved mothern and friend, passed away in the presence of her six sons and their families in Vienna, VA, on August 14, 2012.
Praying for and loving upon their mother, Joe (Dawn), Mike (Linda; Tim and Andrea), Doug (son, Christopher), Charles (Rose; daughter, Alecia), Bill (Sandy; daughters Christina and Bonnie), and Bob (Penny), physically and spiritually cared for their mother in the last week of her life at her home of 43 years in Vienna, VA. "Love abounded in this home," said the hospice care personnel helping Frances cope with the pain of a failing heart, yet her spiritual heart and the powerful influence of her unfailing love was the unique foundation in the character and spiritual development of her sons and daughters-in-law; and her grandchildren. Frances was a faithful member of Vienna Presbyterian Church for over 40 years and a participant in many Bible studies through the years. "Her sons rose up and praised her." (Proverbs 31:28) for her deep faith and love expressed toward God and expressed to her sons throughout her life. She was a devoted servant of Jesus Christ, her Savior and Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Bailey, in 1994; by her three sisters, Emily, Elizabeth and Sarah; and her brother, Durwood. Mrs. Frances Pye Bailey is survived by one sister, six sons, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one soon to be born.
