FRANCIS PAUL MURPHY, JR. (Age 76)  

Of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, at the home of his daughter. Born May 5, 1936, in Cranston, RI, Mr. Murphy, Jr., was the son of the late Francis Paul Murphy, Sr., and Winifred Theresa (Kelley) Murphy. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Joan Ann (Ramsey) Murphy; a sister: Kathryn Murphy; and a brother: Jack Murphy. A United States Army Veteran and former border patrolman, Paul retired from the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service. He was a member of Saint Andrew's Catholic Church in Waynesboro, PA. Paul is survived by his daughter: Terri McCagh and husband, Sean, Cumberland, MD; and his son: Mike Murphy and wife, Susan, Arnold, MD. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Mike Lastig, Cory McCagh, Casey McCagh, Conor Murphy, and Michaela Murphy; and his brother: Ed Murphy and Dick Murphy. Friends will be received at Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
