Was born February 16, 1950 to the parents of Prnecia and Freddie Pruitt, Sr. in Shreveport, LA. He passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 from complications associated with liver cancer. He is survived by his two sons Freddie Pruitt, III and Justin Pruitt. He leaves behind his older sister Audrey Pruitt; his younger brother Kelvin Pruitt; sister-in-law Sharon Pruitt; three nieces Monique Summers and Stephanie and Cynthia Pruitt; daughter-in-law Maggie Pruitt; Marsha Pruitt mother of his sons; and Benita A. Dallas, devoted girlfriend. As a child, Freddie Pruitt, Jr. resided in France, Germany, Mississippi and finally in Washington, DC where he graduated from Ballou High School. He went on to attend Howard University in Washington, DC, where he played for the Howard Bison Football team and graduated class of 1975. Freddie Pruitt, Jr. was a great orator and his life experiences were enjoyed by many who would listen to his elaborate tales better known as "Real Life" stories. Freddie Pruitt, Jr. will be missed but never forgotten as his "Real Life" stories will be passed down by those who listened. Services held privately. Arrangements entrusted to FORT LINCOLN FUNERAL HOME.
