GENE I. MARTIN  
COL., USAF (Ret.)  

Gene I. Martin, 92, a retired Air Force Colonel and great veteran of three wars, died peacefully, July 9, 2012. He served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He served from 1941 to 1968. His decorations were the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters, and many other medals.
 
Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Eunice Edison of Hamilton, Texas, who passed away in 1972. He is survived by his two sons, Gene Ivan Martin, Jr. of Moses Lake, Washington and Brian J. Martin of Spokane, Washington; one daughter, Barbara Ann Martin of McLean, Virginia; two grandchildren, Roxanne Redwine of Cedar Park, Texas and Allira Martin of Yakima, Washington and three great-grandchildren, Elise and Kory Redwine of Cedar Park, Texas and Rowdy Martin of Yakima, Washington.
 
The funeral ceremony will be held at Ft. Myer Old Post Chapel on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. Please arrive at Ft. Myer Base by 12:30 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery with Full Honors. Arrangements by MURPHY FALLS CHURCH FUNERAL HOME.
