BLEDSOE GENEVA K. BLEDSOE The much beloved Geneva Khuri Bledsoe, our dear sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend of Fairfax, VA, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on February 21, 2013 at Capital Caring Hospice in Arlington, VA. Geneva was born on November 28, 1932 to Moses and Adele Khuri, of Charleston, WV, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Albert Khuri, of Malvern, PA. While attending West Virginia University, she met the love of her life Jack D. Bledsoe. They were married on October 30, 1955 in Charleston, WV, and have been inseparable ever since. A loving and devoted mother, Geneva was very active in the Ridgley Woods community. She had an incredible mind for business, helping her husband create his orthodontic practice. She treated everyone with kindness and respect, always greeted people with a smile, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Geneva is survived by her husband Jack and son Brian of Fairfax, VA; daughter Dana and husband Nicolas McKee and children, Ashton, Bailey, and Holiday of New York, NY; sister Juliet Khuri of Charleston, WV; brother Abe Khuri and wife Grace of Richwood, WV, and daughter Juliet and husband Thomas Colanero and son, Christopher of Cordova, TN; son Stephen and wife Lynee Khuri of Richwood, WV; sister Lolly Khuri Zain of Charleston, WV, deceased husband Faris Zain and daughters, Debra and husband Tom Laughery and sons, Zane and Austin of Raleigh, NC; Karen and husband Curt Henry of Denver, CO; Joyce and husband Jay Kight and children Leigh Ann and Harrison of Charlotte, NC; and Susan Wolfe of Charleston, WV; niece Kyra and husband Chris Lewis of New Albany, IN and nephew Kevin and wife Kelly Khuri of Jeffersonville, IN. She will be missed deeply by everyone, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may visit at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA on Monday, February 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park.
