GEORGE W. BALLINGER (Age 74)
Of Charles Town, WV, died Monday, May 6, 2012. He was born in Washington, DC, the son of the late William and Louise Ballinger. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Barrett-Ballinger; step-daughter, Christine Flippo and step-son, Steven Barrett; two granddaughters, Jacquelyn Flippo and Ashlynn Barrett; and his sister, Norma Carroll of Las Vegas, NV. George is PopPop to Jaiden Walzer. He enjoyed a host of friends in DC, VA, MD and WV. His favorite time of day was when he walked the dogs and visited with neighbors.
A Memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the United Methodist Church at 601 Washington St., Harpers Ferry, WV; Pastor Eddie Smith will officiate. Interment will be private.
