Of Washington, DC Ret. Homicide Detective (MPDC), loving wife and mother entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 20, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Adam Powell; daughter, April ; parents, Richard and Velma Blocker; brother, Kevin, with a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held on Friday May 25, 2012 from 10 a.m. until hour of service at 11 a.m at Union Temple Baptist Church, 1225 W Street, SE, Washington, DC. Interment at Washington National Cemetery.
