Helen Terrill Obituary

TERRILL HELEN BURGESS TERRILL On May 28, 2009, Helen Burgess Terrill of Falls Church, VA and South Bethany, DE passed away peacefully. For 65 years she was the beloved wife of Colonel Robert S. Terrill, USAF (Ret.). She was a graduate of Lock Haven University, a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania. Having taught in both Virginia and Pennsylvania, Helen continued her interest in education by establishing the Helen B. Terrill Library Trust Fund at Lock Haven University. She served as a past president of the National Guard Bureau Wives Club. Helen was active in the founding of the town of South Bethany and a founder of the Delaware South Coastal Library. Her dedicated efforts made possible the incorporation of the York Beach area into South Bethany. Remembrances in Helen"s name may be made to the Lock Haven University Library, Lock Haven, PA 17745. The Memorial Service will be held on July 30 at 3 p.m. at the Old Fort Myer Post Chapel followed by ground burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
