HENRY DRYDEN VAN CLEAVE, JR.
Henry Dryden Van Cleave, Jr., 80, died on February 19, 2013. He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Colleen Edith Van Cleave; loving children Keith Dryden Van Cleave (Peggy), Leslie Ann Atkin (Mike), and Shawn Michael Van Cleave (Suzanne Hamilton), and seven grandchildren. Dryden was a Vietnam Veteran who also managed the national Oil Spill Response Division of the Environmental Protection Agency until 1985. After retiring from the EPA, he joined Ecology and Environment (Buffalo, NY) and eventually became a Vice President in their Washington D.C. office. Viewing will be at 11 a.m. prior to a noon Memorial Service on Saturday, February 23 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, VA. A burial with military honors is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, February 25, at the Culpeper National Cemetery in Culpeper, VA.
