James Ferguson Obituary

FERGUSON, JAMES BRECKINRIDGE

Entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 3, 2003, JAMES BRECKINRIDGE FERGUSON, husband of Susann Dayton Ferguson of Isle of Palms, S.C. The memorial service will be Friday morning February 7, 2003 at St. Mary's Historic Catholic Church, Fairfax Station, VA at 11:00 o'clock. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. A celebration of J.B.'s life will be held at the home of Geoff and Teresa Gauger, 4168 Lord Culpepper Lane, Fairfax, VA immediately following the service. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt Pleasant, S.C., 29464.

Mr. Ferguson was born June 20, 1939 in Clifton, VA, son of John W. and Virginia Ferguson. He was a retired Financial Investment Counselor. Mr. Ferguson was graduate of Virginia Tech and founding father of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at Virginia Tech. He was a member of the Professional Golfers Association, a Golf Pro for ten years in Reston, VA and a member of the Men's Chatterbox Club of Washington, D.C.

Surviving are his wife of Isle of Palms, S.C.; two daughters, Kimberly F. Hicks of Warrenton, VA and Melissa F. Solis of N.J.; two-step-children, Kimberly O'Connell of South Riding, VA and Peter Eldredge of Scottsdale, Arizona; and six grandchildren and three-step-grandchildren.

Mr. Ferguson is a member of the Ferguson Family, which has a long lineage in Clifton, VA.
