James "Butch" Watson peacefully transitioned on Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Medstar Washington Hospital Center at the age of 62. His mother, Lorine A. Watson well known in ITC (Toastmistress) and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, 9th and P Street, NW preceded him in death in 2008. He is survived by a son, James D. Watson; a twin sister, Paula D. Watson; aunts Thelma Ross and Calvene Ross; cousins and friends.
His home city was Washington, D.C. He painted professionally for over 20 years. Butch was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins but most importantly an excellent father and brother.
He donated his body for scientific research to the Howard University College of Medicine Department of Anatomy. Services were private. He will be sincerely missed by his family and friends.
