On December 21, 2012, Mr. Jayant Singh Kalotra passed away with humility, dignity and peace surrounded by family and the comfort of prayers at the age of 73 in acceptance of God's will. Loving husband of 46 years of Amrit Kaur Kalotra (nee Jaspal); beloved father of Indira Kaur and Ajay Singh and his wife Sangita Kaur; proud grandfather of Meghan Kaur, Armaan Singh, Sahiba Kaur, and Arjan Singh; and precious son of the late Zorawar Singh and Jai Kaur and loving son-in-law of the late Jaswant Singh and Lakhvir Kaur. He was a Chartered and Cost Accountant by profession, and served as the Director and Chief Financial Officer of Metal Box in Calcutta, India till 1984 when he moved with his family to the Washington DC area. He founded IBTCI and grew the company from the basement of his home in Sterling, Virginia to projects in over 85 countries. He was an industry leader for increasing opportunities for small businesses in USG international contracting. He lived in prayer, enjoyed listening to kirtan; guiding his children; indulging his grandchildren; playing badminton and golf; watching sports - especially rooting for WDC area teams; and keeping current on American politics and world affairs. Mr. Kalotra was a man: who showed others through his life's example what it means to be a man of honor irrespective of one's station or creed, a man who inspired many to work in public service, a man who never let religion or nationality come in the way of how he cared for others, a man who deeply loved his family and showed others the importance of this bond, and most importantly a man of unfaltering faith for his creator. Funeral Services were held on December 24, 2012.
