Jean Bassin Obituary
On March 18, 2006, JEAN T. BASSIN (Mimi) passed away after a long and well lived life at the age of 97. She and her late husband Myer founded Buckingham Florist in 1942. She is survived by beloved son Neil; and adoring grandsons David, Steven, Michael and Richard; as well as six great-grandchildren; former daughter-in-law Sally Yellin; and other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at King David Memorial Gardens, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA.

David, Sharon, Brent, Josh, Sally and all of the Bassin Family:
I am very sorry to hear of Mimi's passing. I know that she was a delight to everyone and that we loved her very much. Be comforted by all the warm memories you have of Mimi during all the holidays and family events and the fact that she lived a full, long life. I will miss sitting with her at the table during holiday celebrations but will always remember how kind and loving she was to me and to everyone she met. We had some very nice conversations and I just loved the way she dressed!! Truly an inspiration to us all! Again, I am very sorry for your loss but she is now in a better place and free of her aches and pains.

To Neil and all who loved Mimi,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you say goodbye to someone who has been such big and important part of your lives for so long. She always had a special place in my heart, and I'm saddened by her passing, yet thankful she was with her family for as long as she was. She will be missed.
