Beloved husband of Williette Laprise-Hammond and the late Mary Ann Hammond; loving father of John Charles, Jr. (Mary), James Vincent, Michael Glenn (Cathy), Mark Noel (Gabby) and Joseph Patrick (Karen) Hammond; step-father of Michelle Rose Houchens, Marc Norman DeGarie (Caroline), Verne Phillip DeGarie, Laurie Anne Dice (Thomas), Francine Marie Pessagno (James) and the late Renee Celeste Dovidio (Michael); grandfather of 28 and great-grandfather of 20; brother of Audrey Jones of Seattle, Washington and James Hammond of Cape Coral, FL. Relatives and friends may call at the ROBERT E. EVANS FUNERAL HOME, Rt. 450 & Racetrack Rd., Bowie, MD on Tuesday, June 5 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. June 6 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bowie, MD.
