Judith Helene Roberts, of Gaithersburg, Maryland died Tuesday November 20, 2012 after a long illness. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, November 4, 1945, to Edward and Anne Munyan. Judith was a great student and avid reader. She married in 1965 and lived in Kingston, NY until the mid-70's, and later moved to Richmond, VA, Silver Spring, MD, and Roanoke, VA before settling in Gaithersburg, MD. She retired from the IBM mid-Atlantic Region after many years as an Executive Assistant, and later as a Financial Analyst. She was everyone's cheerleader, and delighted in her grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting the shore, spent many summers in Wildwood, NJ, and loved to garden. Judith is survived by Raymond, her husband of 47 years; her daughter, Judith Anne and her husband, Chris Hull; her son, Raymond Gregory and his wife, Kathie; five grandchildren, Melanie, Shannon, and Nathan Roberts, and Claudia and Jacqueline Hull; three sisters, Carole Ratka-Wiseman, Jeanne Speice and Patrice Munyan; two brothers, Edward and Thomas Munyan; her mother-in-law, Geneva Roberts; brother-in-law, Daniel Roberts; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 6201 Dunrobbin Drive, Bethesda, MD 20816 starting at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children's National Medical Center (http://www.childrensnational.org/).
