JUNE A. MERRILL (Age 86)

Entered into the heavenly kingdom to be with her Lord Jesus on February 3, 2013 at Inova Loudoun Hospital with her loving family by her side.
June graduated from St. Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse where she's worked after graduation as the head nurse of the psychiatric ward.
In her younger years she was a charter member of the Camp Springs United Presbyterian Church in Camp Springs, Maryland where she was active for many years. June was a resident at Falcons Landing, Potomac Falls, Virginia since May of 1996. She also enjoyed reading, knitting and cooking, collecting many cookbooks and perfecting new recipes.
June was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Ernest R. Dragoo and her second husband Charles T. Merrill. Beloved mother of son Alan R. Dragoo (Kathleen) with grandchildren Stephanie R. Sawyer (Steven), Cynthia M. Dragoo-Suit (John) and Jennifer A. Hutt (Joshua). Son Michael E. Dragoo (Sharon) with grandchildren Theresa M. Spath (Douglas), Joshua M. Dragoo, Suzanne L. Miles (Eric) and son Kevin J. Dragoo. June had nine great grandchildren.
June also had three stepchildren from her second husband; stepdaughter Carolyn (Larry) Woods with grandchildren Jennifer (Paul) Steenerson and Kristin (Tom) Kluis; stepdaughter Martha (Roger) Schwartz with grandchildren Anne (Joe) Leonard and Kate (Justin) Lodermeier; stepdaughter Grace (Lynn) Hollerbach with grandchildren Capt. Nicholas Hollerbach and Lyndsay Hollerbach. June had nine step-great-grandchildren.
A private family viewing is scheduled on February 16, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. A public viewing from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the .
Private interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
