KENNETH E. GOLDSBY  

Kenneth E. Goldsby, age 78, of South Riding, VA, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, after an extended illness. Born in Erie, PA, his elementary years were spent in a one-room school house in Harbor Creek Township, PA, his beloved hometown surrounded by woods and flowing creeks. He was a field representative for STERIS Corporation), which brought him to the Northern Virginia area in 1969 with his beloved wife of 56 years, Gloria Jean, and his three sons, Kenneth, Jr., Daniel and Robert. His six grandchildren, Sadie, Elijah, Zachary, Devon, Kyla and Logan, were his life's bonuses.
 
Kenneth's parents, Hamilton and Blanche Goldsby, predeceased him. He is also
survived by his only brother, Wilbur E. Goldsby, of Harbor Creek, PA.
 
Kenneth's last earthly gift was the donation of his body to medical science, through MedCure, after which his remains will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Capital Caring, at www.capitalcaring.org.
 
A Memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1090 Sterling Road, Herndon, VA, time to be announced. The Reverend Dr. Justin White of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, and the Reverend Edward Harper, former Pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, will assist Holy Cross Pastor, the Reverend Douglas Jones, in the celebration of Kenneth's life, with music by the Herndon Towne Square Singers, a group founded in 1982 by Kenneth's wife, along with the choirs of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Pleasant Valley Methodist Church.
