Passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at his home in Manila, Philippines. He was born on March 26, 1946 in Mexico, Missouri.
Scott graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and a Master's Degree in Diplomatic and 20th Century History.
Scott retired from the Central Intelligence Agency in 1999 after serving in several foreign posts in Africa and Asia. Scott was the recipient of the CIA's Career Intelligence Medal as well as several U.S. and foreign government meritorious citations.
Following his distinguished government career, Scott was the founder and Managing Director of Pacific Strategies and Assessments (PSA); a leading Asia Pacific political risk consultancy.
Scott chose to live in the Philippines because of his love for the country; and his established expertise in Asian matters; to include China. In all, he lived and worked more than 29 years in Asia.
Scott is survived by his children and grandchildren, David Harrison, Lori Harrison, Anna Olver, Michael Olver and Sarah Olver.
The funeral service were held at 9 a.m., December 22, 2012 at San Francisco Chapel, Santuario de San Antonio, Makati City, Philippines. Scott will be buried at The Heritage Park, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Philippines.
