Died December 5, 2012 of pancreatic cancer. His last few weeks were brightened by conversations and recollections with family and friends from around the world. Survivors are: wife, Corinna C. Posner; children, Stephanie Posner (Windhoek, Namibia), Nicholas Posner (Los Altos, CA) and David Alexander Posner (Silver Spring, MD); and three granddaughters, Natasha, Sofia, and Azara. He was son of Stanley and Lillian Posner; grandson of Elizabeth Kahn. Siblings are Elisabeth P. Schouten (Potomac, MD) and James Posner (New York, NY). With academic degrees from Amherst College and Harvard (Business School and Department of Economics), Larry had a wonderful career as a management consultant working in Latin America, Europe, Africa, and South Asia on social and economic development projects. His warm optimism, generous spirit, integrity, and sharp analytical skills are his legacy for family and friends everywhere. In his early career, he was a key developer of the "logical framework" (LogFrame) methodology adopted by USAID, and international funders. Family will receive visitors on Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Posner home. Memorial contributions suggested to , or the Brain Injury Association of Maryland.
