Of Murrysville formerly of Camp Springs, MD on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Roy Mitchel McCarter. Loving mother of Marjorie (Randall) Stevens, Mary (Ed) De La Torre, Alice (Dan) Wilson and the late Michael (surviving, Barbara) McCarter and Ann McCann; grandmother of Kaitlin and Mike McCarter, Joshua (Christina), Jonathan (Valerie) and Jeremiah Stevens, Michael McCarter-Crellin, Julianne, Mark, and Allison De La Torre, and Ryan, Jesse, Kara, and Lindsay Wilson; sister of Mary Esther (Robert) Easterday, and Elton (Martha Jean) Gaines. Also survived by five great-grandchildren. Our wonderful mother and grandmother, Leona, left a legacy of a committed Christian faith, love and generosity to her family and friends. She devoted much of her time to volunteer work. A burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
