Louise Freeh Obituary


LOUISE M. FREEH  August 7, 1925 - February 24, 2011  
Louise (Hoffman) Freeh was born on August 7, 1925. She attended Mercy School of Nursing in Toledo, Ohio, after graduation from St. Joseph High School in 1942. She became a registered nurse in 1946 and married James L. Freeh in 1947.  Louise worked as an RN at two hospitals in the Dayton area, and served on the city council in Enon, Ohio, before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1955. In 1965, the family of seven moved to Lexington, Kentucky, where Louise worked at St. Joseph's Hospital. Following a move to Annandale, Virginia in 1967, Louise worked at Fairfax Hospital for several years and then at Medic 24 for Dr. Ernest Rafey. Louise loved nursing and gardening, and enjoyed serving in leadership capacities at the parishes and schools her children attended. Louise is survived by her daughters Barbara Clarke of Las Cruces, NM and Patricia Freeh of Reston, VA; sons James Freeh of Tucson, AZ and Steven Freeh (Lee Lawson) of New Albany, IN; and three grandchildren Douglas (Caroline) Clarke of Houston, TX, Navy LT Scott (Zeynep) Timmester of Virginia Beach, VA, and Tracy Timmester (Blake Selinsky) of Alexandria, VA. Louise is also survived by brother Ralph (Loretta) Hoffman of Fremont, OH, and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Louise is preceded in death by her husband James L. Freeh; parents Leo and Magdalena Hoffman; brothers Bernard, Lawrence, Harold, and Richard; sisters Eileen Geller and Mary Hoffman; and daughter Martha Timmester. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont. A Mass of Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. David Bruning officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
