Mabel Reedy Lyttle, died on Saturday, November 10, 2012. She was born in Russell County, VA and moved to Washington, DC in 1942 to work in the typing pool in what was to become the Pentagon. Mabel later worked at the Department of Agriculture as a secretary and then as a Land Acquisition Clerk until her retirement. Mabel was a resident of Vienna, VA, and a long time member of the First Baptist Church of the City of Washington, DC where she volunteered in the Nursery Department for over 50 years.
Mabel married Joseph H. Lyttle who preceded her in death. She is survived by three children, John Edward (Kim), Robert (Lynne) and Mary Jane Lyttle Sennett; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one sister, two brothers, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Mabel's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Wednesday, November 14 from 10 a.m. to time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park.
