Mark Joseph Hoffman of Rockville, Maryland died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at home. Mark was the beloved husband of Karen Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys M. Hoffman. Mark is survived by his father and step-mother, Edwin and Eve Hoffman of Vero Beach, Florida. He is also survived by his sister, Kimberly Samperton, her husband Kyle and their daughter Lucy.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on November 13, 1952, Mark lived in Dobbs Ferry, New York; Cleveland, Ohio; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before moving to the Washington, D.C. area as a teenager. He graduated from the Landon School and from the University of Denver. Mark worked for many years at WMAL Radio in Washington, D.C., and WFRE, Jim Gibbons Radio, in Frederick, Maryland before joining William C. Smith & Company of Washington, D.C. in Real Estate Investment Sales. He had celebrated over twenty-five years of service with William C. Smith & Company.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Christ Episcopal Church, 107 South Washington Street, Rockville, Maryland.
