WILDHACK MARTHA ALLSTON WILDHACK (Age 77) Martha Moore Allston Wildhack died peacefully surrounded by family on December 16, 2012 at Goodwin House Baileys Crossroads in Falls Church, VA. A native of New Bern, NC, Marty moved to Arlington, VA in 1942. She graduated from Washington-Lee High School, Class of '53 and Radford College '57. Marty was a stewardess for TWA immediately after college before returning home to Arlington to marry William A. "Bill" Wildhack, Jr. in August 1959. Marty was active participant in the Arlington community, including Young Democrats, Arlington Bar Lawyers' Wives, Arlington Jaycee Wives, TWA Clipped Wings, and the Williamsburg Women's Club of Arlington, and served as treasurer for many of these organizations. She served for decades on the W-L '53 reunion committees. A lifelong Presbyterian, Marty was a member for 40 years and served as an Elder and as Luncheon Coordinator for many years at Little Falls Presbyterian Church. She grew up as an active member at Trinity Presbyterian (Arlington) and was a charter member of Fairlington Presbyterian Church. Marty was most proud of being a wife, mother and homemaker. She greatly enjoyed travel, particularly cruises, and celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary at sea with family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William A. Wildhack, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth L. Wildhack; son, Captain William A. Wildhack III, Chaplain Corps, U.S. Navy, his children Evan and Jocelyn Wildhack, and nephews James F. Allston and John P. Allston. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank J. Allston, Jr. Memorial services will be held at Little Falls Presbyterian Church, 6025 Little Falls Road, Arlington, VA 22207 on Monday, December 31 at 11 a.m. with reception to follow in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in Marty's memory to the Little Falls Presbyterian Church Foundation.
