CAMPBELL MARY ELLEN CAMPBELL Mary Ellen Fields Campbell graced this earth on February 25, 1953 in Washington DC and died on August 8, 2010. She was the daughter of Williams S. and Julia M. Fields. During her childhood she enjoyed playing with dolls. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Hartford. Later she attended Marymount University where she earned two Masters Degrees in Special Education and Counseling. She married Michael Campbell and from this union a son was born, Kristoff St. Clair Campbell. MaryEllen joined Union Baptist Church at an early age and was baptized by Reverend Joseph A. Miles who she loved dearly. She taught Sunday school when Deacon Taylor was there and later joined the choir. Mary Ellen taught at Mark Twain Middle School, located in Fairfax County. Recently, she received a certificate from the Fairfax County School Board for 30 years of faithful service. MaryEllen was a loving and kind person, devoted to her son and her family. During MaryEllen''s illness, she suffered greatly and it was at this time it was evident how much she was loved by her family, friends, coworkers and neighbors. She was not alone. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is present with the Lord. MaryEllen is survived by her son, Kristoff Campbell, her parents William and Julia Fields, a cousin, Victor Craig and his wife Pamela, and Barron Craig, their son, of Brooklyn, New York, and two special friends, Anita Uyehara and Ron Simmons. The family welcomes friends to funeral services being held on Friday, August 13 at 10 a.m. at Brookland Union Baptist Church in Washington D.C., 3101 14th St., NE, Washington, DC 20017. Interment Ft.
