Nancy taught me the difference between the words affect and effect, and how affect was a verb but effect could be a verb or an noun, depending on how it was used in a sentence. This was in 1976 when I was a junior accountant at the time with M.B. Hariton & Co. in Washington, D.C. Just a few days ago I read something funny about word usage and suddenly wanted to email the article to Nancy and also thank her for what she taught me so long ago, but when I went to search for her using Google I saw that she had gone on ahead on July 4th. Fare thee well Nancy, and thanks again for your help.

Marion & Darrel Kelsey & Daughters

July 17, 2015

Nancy McBride and her family have been friends of the Kelsey family ever since our meeting in Tulsa, OK many decades ago.
We were saddened to receive news of her death at home in Washington, D.C. with family members by her side. Nancy was an exceedingly Dear Friend, & so generous to all over the years! Her Kindness knew no boundaries; and she was a Delightful Character to know. We have lost her far too soon; there never will be another with her amazing
AND amusing qualities.

Nancy will be missed by both my husband Darrel & me, as well as our four daughters ~ Christine in Seattle; Teresa in NYC; and our two in the Kansas City area ~ Laura Marchand and
Mary Catherine Newman.
I will miss my "Friend from Baytown,Texas" as well, and
as others did note,
"NANCY,
A FOREVER TEXAN"!

Be at peace now,
Dear Nancy Kelly McBride!
We hope to meet you
"in the Bye & Bye"
& enjoy our mutual
Friendship FOREVER!!
Much Love Always!

To the McBride family- Nancy will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only was she a good friend for almost 40 years, but she was my mentor, who help me become the CPA I am today. I will truly miss Nancy and will keep her, and James, and her family in my prayers. Please know my thoughts are with you.
