They were married in Sapporo in 1947, and Nancy became a devoted Army wife, world traveler, elegant entertainer, and loving mother. She loved art, opera, travel, and antiques, and collected Chinese snuff bottles. She was an award-winning realtor for 20 years in the Carlisle-Harrisburg, PA area, and later helped her husband garner support to establish the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle. Most of all, Nancy loved her family.
