Of Dale City, VA, and formerly of Fort Gibson, OK, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at his home. Mr. Tyler was born January 19, 1929 in Braggs, Oklahoma the son of Winfred and Alma Roland Tyler. He lived in Fort Gibson prior to joining the Naval Reserves, and later changing to the U.S. Army, 11th Airborne Division Headquarters. He later retired from the United States Postal Service. In addition to his parents, Otis was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Burch Tyler; and his eldest sister, Bronice Tyler Johnson. Survived by son, Barry Burch Tyler; one sister, Mary Tyler of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Graveside services 10 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Ruby Cemetery, Ruby, South Carolina. Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, SC (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) is serving the Tyler Family.
