Peter Goldman Obituary
GOLDMAN PETER J. GOLDMAN CAPTAIN, US NAVY (Ret.) On June 17, 2010 of Chevy Chase, MD. Beloved husband of Greta K. Goldman; devoted father of Susan Moatz (Harry); loving grandfather of Rebecca Gruber (Andrew) and Aaron Moatz (Krista); cherished Poppa of Noah, Zachary and Nathaniel. Services will be held on Monday, June 21, at 1 p.m. at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb St., NW, Washington, DC, followed by burial at Arlington National Cemetery at 3 p.m. Shiva will be observed on Monday following the burial at the Moatz residence and on Tuesday at the late residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, 6121 Montrose Rd., Rockville, MD 20852 or Uriah P. Levy Center, United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD 21402.

I was so saddened to read about the passing of your dear husband Peter. I fondly remember him telling wonderful Yiddish stories at our annual NCJW Hanukkah celebrations at Susan Finklestein's home. I hold a sweet spot in my heart for both of you. I certainly hope our paths will cross once again and I can give you a hug. Most sincerely,

Greta, Susan, Harry and family,
So sorry to hear about the death of Peter. We will always remember him fondly as we shared so many festive occasions together. His intelligence, vast experience, devotion to family, and spirit of adventure will certainly be missed by all whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
