RICHARD A. HERMAN
Richard A. Herman, born July 13, 1912, died peacefully at his home at the Watergate in Washington, DC on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. He has no immediate survivors. A lifelong resident of Washington, he is one of three first cousins, all born in this city in 1912, all three having reached their 100th birthdays. Trained as an architect at the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Herman had a lifelong passion for the visual and performing arts. The National Symphony Orchestra's concert on Thursday evening, December 6, 2012 will be dedicated to Richard Herman's memory.
