A DC resident since 1957, Bob McCulloch, 83, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2012. He was born in Providence, RI, in 1928, the son of William F. McCulloch and Elsie Westerberg McCulloch. He graduated from Brown University, where he was in the ROTC. Following 3 years of service in the Marine Corps, he earned his JD at the University of Virginia. He was a career attorney for the SEC, retiring as special counsel. Over the years, he invested in residential real estate on Capitol Hill. He managed the properties until recently, and remained involved until his death. He was an active member of the National Presbyterian Church for 49 years, serving several terms as a deacon and as a trustee. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Marianne Fagel McCulloch of the Netherlands (whom he met at NPC); his children, Robert F. McCulloch, Jr., of NYC and Margaret A. McCulloch of DC; and his brother, Brig. Gen. William L. McCulloch (Dolores). Memorial service will be held September 20, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the National Presbyterian Church, 4101 Nebraska Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20016. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Presbyterian Church.
