ROBERT K. LEHTO  

Of Occoquan, VA passed away at his residence on September 30, 2012. Bob was born in Ishpeming, MI. His son Rance, daughter Susan, son Christopher, daughter-in-law Rebecca and their children Stephen, Elizabeth, Catherine, Natalie, and Samantha survive him. Wife Mildred and son Stephen predecease him.
 
Bob graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1946 and joined the US Navy. He served as an enlisted man from 1946 to 1954 and from 1954 to 1967 as an active duty officer and pilot for antisubmarine warfare. He graduated from Ohio State University Summa Cum Laude in 1963, University of Maryland with a Masters in International Relations in 1966. Retired from the Navy in 1967. As a civilian he worked in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations and the Bureau of Naval Personnel from 1967 to 1985 retiring as a member of the Senior Executive Service.
 
Friends may call at Mountcastle Turch Funeral home in Woodbridge, VA on Wednesday October 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Internment at Quantico National Cemetery
