ROBERT L. THOBURN (Age 83)
Died on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his home in Vienna, VA. Beloved husband of Rosemary S. Thoburn; father of David Thoburn (Jo), John Thoburn (Reneé), Mark Thoburn (Theresa), Ruth Shade (Burke), Lloyd Thoburn (Sheree), Robert L. Thoburn, II (Sheila), Jonathan Thoburn (Michelle) and Mary Fusaro (Dennis); and brother of Jean Benkes, Carl Thoburn and Karen Russell. He is also survived by 46 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Mr. Thoburn founded Fairfax Christian School, as well as helping establish numerous other schools. Family and friends are invited to Mr. Thoburn's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Friday, December 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Gainesville Presbyterian Church, 16127 Lee Highway, Gainesville, VA on Saturday, December 29 at 1 p.m. Interment Stonewall Memory Gardens.
