Robert T. Poppe, Col. USAF (Ret.), USNA class of 1955, passed on May 12, 2012. Beloved husband of Robin Leight Poppe. Loving father of Robert Christopher Poppe (Teresa Channon) of Springfield, VA and James Lawrence Poppe (Catherine) of Reston, VA. Son of the late Raymond H. and Ruth A. Poppe. Brother of James Raymond Poppe of Reston, VA. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be at St. Timothy Episcopal Church, 432 Van Buren St.,Herndon, VA on Saturday, June 2 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside service with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
