Passed away at the Washington Home on June 12, 2014. Rosemary was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Hammondsport, NY. She attended Alfred State College. She lived much of her life in Washington, DC and retired to Mercersburg, PA. She worked for, among others, NBC News, CBS News, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and retired in 2000 as a legal secretary from Morrison & Foerster. Beloved for her wit and wisdom, she read avidly, took immense pleasure in gardening, and was a tennis fan. Survivors include her beloved daughter Janet James of Washington, DC, and siblings Carl Herman of Bath, NY, and Irene Lovett of Lacey, WA. A memorial mass will be held at the Church of the Annunciation in Washington, DC, 3810 Massachusetts Ave., NW, on June 26 at 11 a.m.
