Kwabena was born in Kumasi, Ghana, West Africa some 62 years ago. He attended Kumasi High School and was an American Field Service (AFS) student from Ghana to the USA in 1969 and lived with foster parents in Ohio. An avid reader, Kwabena was gifted as a writer. He was a trained journalist who had his own TV show at age 21, and went on to dabble in; real estate, insurance agency and the taxi business. He lived his adult life in the USA, the United Kingdom and again in the USA. He is survived by his wife Pamela, six grown children and several brothers and sisters. His funeral will be at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA 20110 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., to be followed by family and friends gathering at 6424 General Green Way, Alexandria, 22321 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on January 26, 2013.
