RUTH E. NEAL
On the eighteenth day of December, of the year 2012, the beautiful spirit of Ruth E. Neal transcended and took flight to be with her heavenly Father.
The celebration of Ruth's birth, to Nathan and Mary Lee Philips, was October 29, 1937. Ruth was raised and experienced humble beginnings in the small town of Boykins, Virginia. She was blessed to marry Sergeant First Class (Ret.) Lee C. Neal and birthed a boisterous baby girl named Diane.
Ruth will forever be remembered as a comforting and caring soul that lived a life of service and faithfulness to the Lord. She was a staple member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, serving as a missionary, deaconess, and a kind hearted primary-grade Sunday school teacher.
Ruth will be greatly missed by her husband, Lee C. Neal; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and William Champaign; grandchildren, Chip, Christie, Quentin, Malachi, Kiekie and Stephen; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Ivan Johnson; brother and sister-in-law John and Deborah Phillips, and a host of friends and relatives. Home going service will be held at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 2221 Emmett Dr. Alexandria, VA 22307 on December 27. Viewing 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and service at 1 p.m.
