Ruth Thieman Obituary

THIEMAN RUTH L. THIEMAN Beloved mother, passed away on January 8, 2010. Born February 20, 1922. Served in the US Marines during WWII and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in accounting. Married to George Thieman June, 6, 1948 and raised three sons in Arlington Heights, IL. Moved to Great Falls, VA in 1974. Was actively involved in Riverbend Country Club, golf, bowling, volunteer work, and at Christ the King Lutheran Church where she and George were charter members. Moved to Leisure World in Lansdowne, VA in 2003. Preceded in death by her husband, George and her son, Gregory, survived by daughter- in-law Joanne of Dundee, IL, her son, Doug, wife, Debbie, and granddaughter Martha Leigh of Fairfax Station, VA, and her son Jeff, wife Sue, and grandchildren Tracy and Teri of Barrington, IL. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Great Falls, VA. A family greeting time will be at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions to Christ the King Church would be appreciated.
